Dear Summer School Students and Parents:
The following is information regarding summer school that you need to know:
Period 1 |
8:00 – 10:30 |
Break |
10:30 – 10:42 |
Period 2 |
10:45 – 1:15 |
3. Students will be temperature checked upon arrival.
5. Discipline problems are not tolerated in summer school. Going to summer school is a privilege that can be revoked at any time, after a discipline incident student will be dropped from their classes.
6. If you are disruptive, even if you are working, you will be dropped. Defiance is grounds for dismissal.
7. Cheating may be grounds for dismissal.
8. No food or drink in the classrooms. Food will be provided before school and at nutrition.
9. There will be no home-to-school district transportation available during the summer.
10. The Summer School Attendance policy states that on the 4th day of an absence student will be dropped from that class. There are no excused absences allowed in summer school. Every day absent counts, so if you didn’t start coming until Tuesday, you already have one absence. (See administration for special circumstance.)
11. Tardy minutes add up to absences, including tardies after break, 3 tardies count as 1 day of absence. Students with excessive tardies (more than 9) will be referred by teachers to the administration for review. These students will be dropped.
12. If you are dropped from one class you may be dropped from both classes.
13. The dress code will be enforced. If you are sent home it counts towards your absences and/or tardies.
14. You may NOT leave campus during break. You must stay on campus from 8:00 to 1:15. If you leave you may be dropped from summer school.
15. Please bring your Chromebooks with you. If you will be needing a Chromebook, it will be checked out to you on the first day of school.
16. The parking lot is off limits during school hours.
17. Students are not to leave the classroom until the bell rings.
We look forward to a successful summer school! Please contact me [email protected] if you have any questions about summer school.
Sincerely,
Cristina Canales
Summer School Principal
